A leadership and implementation ecosystem for education

Helping education leaders make good work last.

Helping education leaders

make good work last.

We work with school and district leaders to turn strong ideas into change that holds across teams, roles, and the years it takes to see results.

The connective layer that turns knowing into doing.”

Partnerships that turn leader insight into state-funded innovation

Education isn't short on ideas.

Most schools and districts already have strong plans, capable people, and more frameworks than they can count.

What tends to go missing is coherence over time. Initiatives start with energy, then fade as priorities shift and teams change. Leaders revisit the same goals year after year, because the system never got the structure to carry the work between the people who care about it.

Making Champions of Change works in the space between what leaders learn and what actually holds in their systems.

We are the connective layer that turns knowing into doing, helping leaders reflect on what is really happening and build the routines, tools, and relationships that keep good work in place.

Your existing plans, people, and partners stay at the center. We add the structure that helps them work together and last.

The Ecosystem

One ecosystem, built around the Five Pillars of Lasting Change.

Lasting change rarely comes from one training or one committed leader. It comes from strengthening the whole system around the work.

Every MCC tool, learning space, and partnership is built to strengthen the Five Pillars of Lasting Change.

The Five Pillars The trust, clarity, readiness, and shared purpose a team needs before taking on one more initiative. The connection, shared sense-making, and collective efficacy that let leaders carry complex work together. The tools, routines, and adult behaviors that move learning into everyday action. The shared ownership and structures that let work live beyond one person or one moment. Planned from the first conversation, so documentation, funding, and reflection keep the work going after the grant, the launch, or a change in leadership.

The Adult Learning Framework

Reflect. Connect. Grow.

Reflect. Connect. Grow. is MCC's adult-learning framework for moving from insight to aligned action. Every engagement runs on this simple, repeatable framework for slowing down, making meaning, and choosing the next move with intention.

Reflect

Pause before reacting. Leaders notice the assumptions, emotions, and lived experience shaping how they see the work, creating space for honesty before action.

Connect

Look beyond the moment. Teams find the patterns across relationships, roles, routines, and data, turning isolated experiences into shared understanding.

Grow

Choose the next right move. Leaders pick a clear, manageable shift that fits their values, capacity, and context, so learning stays practical and accountable.

Together, the framework holds adult learners with both dignity and accountability, honoring who educators are while keeping them responsible to what their students, teams, and communities need next.

Real districts. Funded, lasting work.

MCC's approach helps districts see their systems clearly, design change work their teams believe in, and secure the funding to carry it out. One recent partnership helped a Minnesota district land a state innovation grant to fund the work its leaders shaped together.

Start with one small, practical step.

Trust between students and adults sits underneath the Conditions every school depends on. Our free guide, Unlock Student Trust: Proven Strategies for Stronger Classroom Connections, gives you and your teachers a handful of practices to strengthen those relationships this week. It is the smallest first step into the MCC ecosystem, and a useful one to share with your staff.

Meet the Founder

Built from years inside the work.

Dr. Morgan Goering founded Making Champions of Change after years as a teacher, administrator, district leader, and consultant across PBIS, MTSS, school climate, and adult learning. The same pattern kept surfacing: capable leaders carrying too many disconnected priorities, with too little structure to help any of it hold. MCC is her response to that gap, now grown into a team, a consultant network, and a growing portfolio of funded innovation work.

Join the Conversation

This work grows in conversation.

MCC is a connected network of leaders doing good work across districts and communities. The Leadership Knowledge Commons keeps the learning happening in real systems from disappearing, turning it into resources, research, and leader voice you can use.

If you do not see exactly what you need here, there is a strong chance we can help you find it or build it. Follow along, learn with us, and join the leaders shaping what comes next.
