Our mission is simple: to make champions of change by connecting people, ideas, research, and implementation that improve learning and leadership.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website, digital platforms, Leadership Knowledge Commons, educational resources, coaching, consulting, research initiatives, products, and services.

By accessing our website or engaging with MCC, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of our services.

Our Philosophy

MCC exists to cultivate meaningful learning, ethical leadership, and collaborative innovation.

We believe trust is earned through transparency. These Terms are written to explain your rights and responsibilities while protecting the intellectual property, relationships, and mission that make this work possible.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old or have the authorization of your employer or educational institution to participate in MCC offerings.

Intellectual Property

Everything created by MCC remains the intellectual property of Making Champions of Change unless explicitly stated otherwise. This includes, but is not limited to: educational frameworks, methodologies, playbooks, templates, graphics, logos, written materials, assessment tools, videos, presentations, research instruments, grant language, implementation guides, AI prompts, digital downloads, training materials, software workflows, and website content.

Purchasing or accessing our materials grants you a limited, non-transferable license to use them for your own professional or organizational purposes. It does not transfer ownership.

You may not reproduce, redistribute, sell, publish, or commercially exploit MCC materials without written permission.

User Contributions

Certain areas of our ecosystem invite members to share ideas, reflections, discussions, research, or other content.

You retain ownership of the original work you create. By submitting content to MCC, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, archive, or distribute that content as necessary to operate our educational community, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

You represent that your submissions do not infringe upon another person's intellectual property.

Community Standards

We strive to maintain learning environments grounded in curiosity, respect, and professional integrity.

Participants agree not to:

  • harass or intimidate others

  • post discriminatory or unlawful content

  • intentionally spread misinformation

  • upload malicious software

  • violate another person's privacy

  • impersonate another individual

  • share paid MCC resources publicly

  • plagiarize or misrepresent authorship

MCC reserves the right to remove content or suspend access when these standards are violated.

Educational Nature of Services

MCC provides educational and professional learning services. Nothing provided through MCC constitutes:

  • legal advice

  • medical advice

  • psychological counseling

  • therapy

  • financial advice

  • tax advice

Professional decisions remain the responsibility of participants and their organizations.

Artificial Intelligence

MCC responsibly incorporates artificial intelligence tools to improve educational experiences, administrative efficiency, content development, accessibility, and innovation.

AI-generated materials are reviewed by qualified professionals before publication or client delivery whenever appropriate. Participants remain responsible for verifying decisions made using educational resources.

Research Activities

Some MCC initiatives include research, evaluation, or grant-funded projects. Participation in research activities may involve surveys, interviews, implementation data, or other forms of information collection.

Where required, participants will receive additional consent information specific to each project. Research conducted through MCC follows applicable ethical standards, institutional review requirements when applicable, and privacy commitments outlined in our Privacy Policy.

Purchases

Digital products, memberships, coaching, consulting, and educational offerings may require payment. Pricing is displayed at the time of purchase.

Unless otherwise stated:

  • digital downloads are non-refundable after access

  • consulting services follow executed agreements

  • coaching follows individual engagement agreements

  • subscriptions renew according to their purchase terms

Cancellation

MCC reserves the right to cancel or reschedule events, workshops, or educational offerings when necessary.

If MCC cancels a paid event, participants will receive either a refund, credit, or transfer to another offering.

Third-Party Services

Our website and services may integrate with trusted third-party platforms including scheduling software, payment processors, learning management systems, communication tools, analytics platforms, or AI providers. Those services maintain their own terms and privacy practices.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MCC shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from the use of our services, website, educational materials, or community platforms.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the user for the applicable service.

Indemnification

Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless MCC, its officers, employees, consultants, contractors, volunteers, and partners from claims arising from misuse of our services or violation of these Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Changes

As our organization grows, these Terms may evolve. Material updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of MCC services constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.
