About Making Champions of Change

The connective layer behind lasting change in education.

Making Champions of Change is a leadership and implementation ecosystem for the people who carry change in schools and districts. We connect leaders, tools, and partners so meaningful work holds up over time.

Our Story

It started with one stubborn question.

Making Champions of Change began with a question Dr. Morgan Goering kept running into across classrooms, schools, and district offices:

Why do strong ideas, capable teams, and well-designed initiatives so often struggle to stick?

She saw it from every angle, as a teacher, an administrator, a district leader, and a consultant working in PBIS, MTSS, school climate, and adult learning. The problem was rarely effort or care. Leaders were working hard for their students, with real frameworks and real resources in hand. What kept slipping was the structure to carry that work across time, teams, and changing conditions.

MCC grew out of that gap. What began as one person helping schools strengthen systems and culture has become a connected ecosystem with a team, a consultant network, and a growing portfolio of funded innovation work.

Who We Are

A connective layer for leaders doing real work.

MCC is a leadership and implementation ecosystem. We connect the good work already happening across education, give it structure, and help it last. Existing plans, partners, and supports stay in place, and we strengthen the connections between them so learning turns into practice that holds.

That shows up in everything we build, from free resources in the Leadership Knowledge Commons to hands-on district partnerships. Rather than pushing a single product outward, we start with what a system actually needs, then bring together the right mix of people, tools, learning, and funding.

When a district is ready to act, we also help find and align the money to carry the work out, from local resources to state and foundation grants, so a strong plan has the funding it needs to move.

Our Mission

To build a national leadership network that supports sustainable systems change in education.

Our Vision

A connected national network of courageous leaders who are supported, equipped, and trusted to create learning environments where adults thrive and students succeed.

What We Believe

What guides the work.

Three things shape everything MCC does: the people we work with, the ecosystem we build around them, and the method that keeps us accountable to it.

Partners

Many leaders, one connected network.

MCC connects a vetted network of consultants, implementation leaders, and partner organizations. When a district's needs call for it, we bring the right partners into the work so meaningful work can travel beyond initial implementation.

Ecosystem

One ecosystem, many ways to work with us.

From free resources to full district partnerships, every offer has a clear purpose and place. Explore the menu to find where your team fits.

Methodology

Reflect. Connect. Grow.

The Adult Learning Framework hold us accountable to the work. It moves learning into practice and helps it grow over time. See how it works.

Where We're Headed

Building toward a national network for leadership learning.

MCC is building toward a trusted national network for leadership learning and sustained implementation. By 2030, we aim to support thousands of leaders through connected learning spaces, link districts and partners into shared work, and give leaders lasting access to the reflection, tools, and implementation support that strengthen their systems over time.

We measure success by depth rather than size: the trust we build, the quality of our partnerships, the adult practice that sticks, and the strength of leader connection and collective efficacy across systems. As MCC grows, the leader stays at the center, ahead of any platform or product.

Let's build something that lasts.

Whether you are looking for a practical tool, a learning network, or a full district partnership, we will help you find the right next step.

A leadership and implementation ecosystem helping education leaders turn good ideas into change that lasts.
